国际实验室系列讲座7—德国明斯特大学迟力峰教授

2012年3月21日上午10点15分，国际实验室系列学术讲座2012年第一期在A718室举行，本次讲座邀请到德国明斯特大学迟力峰教授来苏州纳米所进行学术交流。迟力峰教授作了题为 “From Self-assembly to On-Surface Reactions”学术报告。报告会由靳健研究员主持，相关科研人员和学生聆听了报告。

报告摘要：Surfaces provide platforms for self-assembly of well-defined molecular structures. By adjusting the balance of molecular-molecular interactions and molecule-surface interactions, diverse molecular patterns can be created. Beyond molecular self-assembly, “on-surface covalent coupling” or “on-surface reaction” under ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) conditions became a new concept in the very recent years to create robust, ordered molecular surface structures that may also exhibit novel properties. For instance, starting from designed small primer molecules, on-surface synthesis of graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) has been achieved. With surface constrain at atomic scale, some products are not possible to be synthesized by standard reactions in solutions, for instance, lineal alkan polymerization without involvement of activating groups. Important breakthroughs in this research area give a clear signal for the opening of a new avenue in realizing robust functionalized molecular surfaces and designing new catalysts for unusual chemical reactions.
