    摘要:
The combination of rising global energy demands, diminishing fossil fuel stores, and climate change has prompted intense interest in developing alternative carbon-neutral energy technologies. The capture and conversion of solar energy to chemical fuels is a promising strategy to meet this need, and an ideal approach is to drive water splitting to hydrogen and oxygen using solar energy input. In this context, a key challenge for water splitting is developing catalysts for the direct and efficient production of hydrogen from neutral water, which avoids organic additives and by-products and is completely carbon neutral. This presentation will focus on our most recent results on design and synthesis of new molecular transition-metal complexes and related molecular materials precursors and their integration into electrochemically and photochemically active systems for direct production of hydrogen from neutral water.
